New employment entitlements for victims of domestic violence

The Domestic Violence – Victims' Protection Bill recently passed its third reading and will come into effect on 1 April 2019.

The new laws are aimed at enhancing protections in the workplace for employees affected by domestic violence - making it easier for these individuals to access flexible working arrangements, paid leave and be protected from adverse treatment because they may be affected by domestic violence.
