New Partners add considerable strength
We are pleased to welcome three new partners to Anthony Harper: Katherine Anderson, Gerard Cleary and Sylvia Cheah.
Katherine is new to the firm, having previously worked as the Director of Legal and Risk at Auckland Council, on the executive at New Zealand Police and in the department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet advising two former Prime Ministers.
Katherine fronts our new speciality practice area, Public Law, where her experience managing the interrelationships between commercial interests and public law decision making come to the fore.
Katherine won the prestigious In-House Lawyer of the Year at the 2016 New Zealand Law Awards.
Adding to the strength of our property team is Sylvia Cheah. Our internationally ranked property team is one of the largest and most highly regarded in the country and Sylvia's extensive knowledge of the market, business acumen and understanding of the needs of property developers and investors is greatly appreciated by our national and international clients.
Gerard Cleary further supplements our property team with his extensive experience of resource management, planning and local government. Gerard's experience spans 18 years, and covers all aspects of development under the RMA, including advising on the preparation of land use consent and private plan change applications, coordinating consultants for land development projects and appearing at local authority, Environment Court and High Court levels.
"Each partner brings a wealth of experience and talent to bear on their speciality area,' said Malcolm Hurley, Managing Partner.
Anthony Harper is excited to add all three partners' considerable talents to the firm and we look forward to our next phase of strong growth and development.
